All load-bearing components of our cantilever racks are made out of hot-rolled IPE steel profiles of excellent strength and durability – the same material as in structural steelwork. This is important in case you store loads that are either heavy or poorly distributed.

The purpose of this type of storage is storing long bulky goods that cannot be efficiently handled by pallet racks. Some of the examples include timber beams, steel bars and sections, aluminum and copper profiles, pipes and ducting, sheet materials and construction boards. It's also popular in car recycling yards, marinas, theatres, commercial kitchens and more.
Of course – it is often utilised in Ireland precisely for that purpose! All of OHRA's outdoor racks are hot-dip galvanised in accordance with DIN EN ISO 1461 and take snow and wind loads into consideration. At sites prone to exposure and/or corrosion, stainless steel anchoring is provided.
Again, it depends on the configuration of the system and profile chosen. OHRA's racks can cope with loads up to 2,500 kg on arm and 10,000 kg on upright in heavy-duty configuration. Moreover, the system is fully calculated for your loads.
Certainly. OHRA racks are modular – it means you can add new bays to the system, adjust the height of arms and add new accessories – gratings, arm bridges, roll-off protectors and guide rails among others – whenever the need arises.

Cantilever racking with roof
In cases where the materials are stored outdoors – timber beams or steel profiles, pipe stock, etc. – our racking system with an attached roof provides a simple alternative to the traditional warehouse building while keeping your material dry and safe. All snow and wind loads are considered during structural calculations according to regional Irish specifics.
Single-sided cantilever racks
Our racking with arms on a single side is ideally suited for operations having narrow warehouse footprint. These units may be completely sealed from behind with optional wall panels – for outdoor applications.
Double-sided cantilever racks
If you have enough floor space for two aisles between rack systems, then the double-sided configuration doubles the number of storage levels without taking extra floor space. Since it distributes loads symmetrically and thus maintains balance, the double-sided system becomes more cost-effective per storage level.
Cantilever racks for heavy loads
In situations when normal arm loads are insufficient, our heavy-duty solution will cope with arm loads of up to 2,500 kg and upright loads up to 10,000 kg. Manufactured with thick hot-rolled steel profiles, these racks can reliably store the heaviest steel profiles, massive stones, timber beams and similar materials.
Mobile Cantilever Racking
When storage density is your primary concern, our mobile racking systems are the way to go! These racks move on rails along the warehouse floor, creating access aisles at will. RBB Aluminium
RBB Aluminium AG, at its main location Wallscheid, in Germany's Eiffel region, has erected an additional warehouse, in which aluminium profiles up to 6 meters in length are stored.
Ronge Profil
In the new production facilities of Ronge Profil GmbH in Alfeld an der Leine, 300 to 400 tons of sheet metal needed to produce metal façade elements are stocked in cantilever racking from OHRA.
Albixon
ALBIXON, one of the leading manufacturers of swimming pools and pool enclosures in Europe, has expanded its storage capacities with a covered cantilever racking system from OHRA. Palletised aluminium profiles are stored here; the length of the pallets is 5 to 12 metres, the weight ranges from 500 to 1,200 kilograms. The new racking system not only offers more space, but also reduces costs: Unnecessary material movements are avoided, the efficiency of warehouse transports increases and the risk of damage to the stored goods decreases. Thanks to the weather protection, the costs for quality control are also reduced. Due to the good overview of the stored goods, stocktaking is also much easier to carry out.

All OHRA racking systems comply with DIN 18800-7 specification and are designed according to the German Social Accident Insurance recommendations for storage equipment (BGR 234). All systems have GS seal.
